Charleston Travel Diary

Happy Wednesday, friends! I recently took a trip to Charleston, South Carolina for the first time and it was amazing! The city was beautiful and the shopping was so good. My mom and I stayed at the Belmond Charleston Place and it was incredible! I even ran into some of my favorite bloggers during my stay. Below, I am going to share all of my favorite Charleston spots and restaurants from our trip!

Where to stay: There are a lot of great hotels/bed and breakfasts’ in Charleston, but we stayed at the Belmond Charleston Place and loved it! It was right in the middle of all the good shopping and the rooms were so nice. There is a Gucci and a Louis Vuitton store in the hotel and it was a dream! Not to mention, the room service was even better. The best chocolate chip waffles ever! This hotel was so great for our two night stay and I highly recommend it.

Where to eat: The food in Charleston was so good and there are a ton of restaurants! I am sharing my favorites from our trip below!

Husk: We tried out a lot of different restaurants, but Husk was my favorite by far! It was the cutest place, and was build out of an older house. I ordered the shrimp salad and it was so yummy and refreshing. This restaurant is a must visit if you are headed to Charleston!

Circa 1886: We went to Circa 1886 for dinner one night and it was delicious. It is definitely on the fancier side, but it was a great experience. I had the filet and it was so yummy. The soufflé for desert was amazing too!

Glazed: We also went to a cute donut shop called Glazed. We walked there from our hotel and it was the best treat. My mom got a raspberry donut and I tried a maple bacon one. They were really good and it was a great atmosphere. I totally recommend going there for a delicious donut!

What to see/what to do: Most of our time was spent walking around and going into shops, but we did visit some tourist attractions that were great!

Rainbow Row: Rainbow Row is a popular attraction in the Charleston Historic District. It is basically a series of thirteen colorful houses painted in pastel colors. It was so beautiful! I have never seen anything like it before and I am so glad we went. It is in walking distance from our hotel and it was great for photos too!

Pineapple Fountain: The Pineapple Fountain is near Rainbow Row and it was so pretty. It is right in front of the water and is a popular photo spot!

These are all of my favorite Charleston spots from out trip. We had the best time and I recommend all of these places! Shop my outfits below!
