Nashville Travel Guide

Hello Music City! I recently took a trip up to Nashville with my mom and we had such a great time. It was mainly a trip to tour apartments, but we made sure to have plenty of fun of course! Below, I am going to share all of my favorite Nashville spots including where to stay, where to eat/drink, and what to do.

Where to stay: We stayed at the Thompson Nashville and really liked it! The location is great and it also has a restaurant, coffee shop, and the well-known rooftop bar, LA Jackson. The hotel is beautiful and in a very convenient location for everything. It is right in the Gulch so there are plenty of shops and restaurants close by and in walking distance.

Where to eat/drink: Nashville has so many amazing restaurants and bars! Here are some of my favorites below with photos – I would recommend reservations for everywhere!

LA Jackson

LA Jackson is a popular rooftop bar in Nashville and located on the top floor of the Thompson Hotel! I absolutely loved the atmosphere and it is so beautiful inside. They have a wide variety of drink choices along with appetizers. I would reccomend getting there early because it can get pretty packed!

Sunda

Sunda is a modern “new asian” resturant and one of my all time favorites. It was right across the street from our hotel and super convienent, we actually went there twice! Sunda reminds me of Nobu because it is a shareable menu and the food comes out as you order it. The Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice is my favorite thing on the menu, it is amazing! I also recommend The Panda Roll and Pork Belly Bao. The Froze and Strawberry Fields are great cocktail choices as well.

Mockingbird

“Bubbles in a Bag”
Mockingbird Menu

We ate at The Mockingbird for brunch and it is the cutest inside. I ordered the BLT which was so good along with the Bubbles in a Bag – you have to order this if you go!!

Restoration Hardware Cafe

“Gem Salad with Chicken”

Restoration Hardware Cafe is such a fun experience because the decor is so beautiful! The Gem Salad with chicken is my favorite thing on the menu and my mom loves the Burrata! RH Cafe is definitely the perfect Instagram spot and it is located at the Green Hills mall near lots of great shopping!!

The Chef & I

The Chef & I has some of the best food I have ever tasted in my life – not exaggerating! I went for dinner during my last Nashville trip in November and went for brunch this time around. It never fails to disappoint! The tasting menu is a wonderful experience for dinner and you also HAVE to try the Caramelized Cauliflower with Goat Cheese (pictured above), it is one of my favorite dishes ever.

Marsh House

Marsh House is an upscale restaurant inside of the Thompson Hotel. We dined there our first night and it was really good! Their menu consists of seafood with a southern flare, the Deviled Crab and Salmon Tartare were delicious.

What to do: During our trip, we didn’t have a ton of time for exploring but we did visit some fun places – The Hampton Social and the Pedestrian Bridge! We also explored 12 South and the Gulch. These are two of my favorite areas in Nashville for shopping, photos, and restaurants. Also, is it a trip to Nashville without a walk down broadway?! We didn’t have time this trip but I highly recommend walking down broadway and going to some of the. rooftop bars and watching live music!

The Hampton Social

“Cilantro Chicken Salad” and “Frose”

The Hampton Social is a restaurant but I am putting it under “what to do” because it is more of an experience – definitely come Instagram ready! There are tons of photo walls and different areas for cute photos. The. food is delicious too! Did I bring two outfits and change in the bathroom for more Instagram content?! Maybe! It is also perfect for a birthday celebration, special occasion, or a girls brunch. The Cilantro Chicken Salad was delicious and so was the Froze!

John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge

The John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge has gorgeous views of Downton Nashville! It is great for exercising and is also a perfect photo spot. We parked on the east side near Titan Stadium and parking is free with easy access to stairs that lead to the bridge.

That was all for this trip to Nashville! It was a busy one but I am so glad we still got a few fun things in! Hope you all enjoyed this little travel guide, I am linking all of my outfits below!

xoxo, Sidney
